The Middle East

Alima Hasna:

Alima has studied ballet, modern, tap, jazz, mime and ballroom dance at WSU, and spent two years in WSU's Mid-America Dance Theater. A zoo volunteer, she's training her boa constrictor, Amanda, to bellydance with her.

Fatinah Hayat:

Fatinah attended the summer intensive in NY with Elena Lentini. She performs with Safira's group and speaks and demonstrates dance to community groups. She's danced in scenes for Derby Community Theatre. She sings, and plays mountain dulcimer and clarinet.

Akilah Ara:

Akilah has traveled around the world in dance, from Argentine Tango to East Coast Swing and all the way to Egypt! She'd like to assemble an educational program in dance reflecting the lives of the "bad girls of the Bible." Here she is, thinking of Eve.
